Welcome

Hi there, I’m Nicola and a very warm welcome to my website. You have taken the first step in moving forwards towards a more fulfilling life. Within our counselling relationship, your issues, whatever they may be, can be discussed, acknowledged, accepted and addressed. Whether these are the bigger life transitions such as bereavement, relationship breakdown, or everyday frustrations such as breaking free of habits or behaviours that no longer serve you.

About me

I am a fully qualified, experienced counsellor with a strong person-centred base. I am warm, compassionate and will be accepting of whatever you choose to bring to counselling. I am passionate about the work I do and I genuinely care for my clients. I will aim to get to know you very well in the time we have together and build a strong relationship.
As a person-centred counsellor, I am trained to listen in a very special way. If this is your first time in counselling, it is unlikely that you have experienced being actively listened to in quite this way before. I am skilled in picking up on what is not said, which can be more important than what is said.
With the exception of certain limitations which will be discussed with you, everything shared within the counselling room is completely confidential.
I have experience of working with high profile clients, for example from the world of sport, show business and politics. I have a clear understanding of the pressures that face this client group.
I particularly enjoy and welcome student counsellors especially from person centred, humanistic, existential approaches. I offer a student discount.
In addition to therapeutic counselling I also offer clinical supervision for counsellors and student counsellors.

Counselling sessions take place online or by telephone consultation.
